In this branch of the research, we use designer DNA and RNA binding proteins (CRISPR/Cas, TALEN, Zinc finger, Pumilio) to construct and improve tools to achieve genome engineering, transcriptional regulation or epigenetic editing
We analyze parameters affecting genome editing to develop better genome editing design software. We also develop bioinformatics toolkits for analysis of sequencing data.
We applies next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies to interrogate epigenome and transcriptome in stem cells and cell models of diseases. We hope to functional validate targets using engineered molecular devices (based on e.g., CRISPR/Cas) we and others developed.
